The colors on the actual item are less brilliant than the picture suggests. The gift recipient is pleased with them but mentioned that they leave some grit on the table. I noticed the grit when I handled them before gift wrapping. Perhaps this is to be expected as they are sandstone. The coasters have cork backs but the residual grit could cause some abrasion to the table surface.

These coasters arrived before the estimated delivery date from the seller Gift Warehouse. I got them 3 days before the delivery date in fact. They were completely intact and packaged very well, the package felt like a pillow between the bubble wrap envelope, packing peanuts, and then the box the coasters themselves were packaged in. I've used them for a couple days now, they work just as expected and are beautiful, they look hand painted.
