Thirstystone Sandstone Coasters are among the finest in the world, due to their incredible absorbing ability. The unusual nature of the porous sandstone literally absorbs messy drips from beverages without leaking onto furniture. They also do not lose their ability to absorb over time. The Coasters come in a set of 4, with each one being 4" in diameter and 3/8" thick. Each has a cork back so as not to scratch surfaces.

The coasters are beautiful, strong and sturdy. The design is perfect and a nice conversation starter. They were however a bit pricey, thus the four star rating.

The Thirstystone brand has always been the best absorbent coasters around, but it was such a nice surprise to find them with the USCG emblem on them. These made a terrific gift to my father who is retired from the Coast Guard. They are proudly displayed on my parents' coffee table. They are functional decor. This is a good product, and the seller was very quick with shipment and packed the product well.
