I absolutely love these coasters! They are very pretty and well made. It's really hard to tell from the picture, but they are 100% Thirsty Stone and there is a full backing of protective cork on the backside. I was a bit confused, if the "frame" around the border was raised and it's not, it's a fairly flat coaster. Actually, the middle section is a tad bit higher than the border/ frame, but I have huge drinking glasses and they accommodate my large glasses just fine! I will say, they do the job and the design is very unique and attractive! I don't have anything bad to say about them, in fact, I am back today ordering another set for my mom. She saw mine and just loved them!
