I have had a set of Thirstystone coasters for years but they started looking worn about a year ago, so I started looking for something lively and fun. I found 2 different sets but they were other brands. One set lasted for about 3 months before I threw them out because they just puddled water from the condensation on the glass that ran onto the tables I was trying to protect. The other set, that is about 4 months old, has scratches and chips on the corners (we are not rough-and-tumble people). So, I decided to go back to the tried and true Thirstysone coasters. They are not fun but the most practical coasters for protecting tables from liquids.

Thirstystone coasters are great. Noticed in other reviews that people mentioned they might scratch surfaces. Of course, if you handle them improperly or put them in the hands of children this could happen (think sandpaper, as they are made of sand). With normal use, don't be worried about scratches. One word of warning, this particular coaster is a little thicker than some other thirstystones, and the whole set won't fit into the pretty scroll holder that I bought.

This is a soapstone coaster with a cheesy looking photo overlay. Do not buy unless you are in to crappy looking coasters.
