I had several absorbastone coasters that I loved, but I couldn't find them anywhere now. I did run across these thirsty stone coasters and felt they would be extremely similar. Here's the positive: they do absorb fluid and will not stick to your glasses, the monogram image looks nice. Unfortunately they are real sandstone and I have noticed them beginning to deteriorate. As a result there are small grains of sand on the table that will surely scratch the furniture which is what I am trying to protect with these coasters! Additionally the cork is stuck on the bottom by someone who doesn't care. I don't think you could eccenter it any more if you tried. I was really hoping for a great coaster for everyday and guest use but this really isn't it.

These monogrammed coasters are beautiful, I've purchased two sets, and they go as well with colonial décor as with modern. The sandstone is heavy, and that combined with the cork-padded bottom keeps them in place, without sliding or scratching. The cork is important for insulation, as the sandstone will heat up or chill depending on the temperature of your beverage. It's most amazing to put a cold drink with condensation on these, and the moisture soaks in quickly, leaving the coasters still dry to the touch. You won't go wrong with these; they're a great product at a great price.

I hate when coasters get wet so when you pick up your glass you get water all over. This never happens with these. They are always dry. I live in TX where all glasses sweat a lot and our glasses don't sit in even one drop of water with these coasters. They are in ever room. Stylish design and far cheaper here at Amazon.com than the exact same ones I bought at the store.
