The unusual nature of the porous sandstone literally absorbs messy drips from beverages without leaking onto furniture. They also do not lose their ability to absorb over time. The Coasters come in a set of 4, with each one being 4" in diameter and 3/8" thick. Each has a cork back so as not to scratch surfaces.

I couldn't be more happier with how quickly it had shipped from time of order. However, I was hesitant on the size of the box. I ordered this item as a Christmas gift. And did not open the box until Christmas Eve to wrap it. The item itself is approximately 4"Lx4"Wx2"H. It came in a box that was approximately 20"Lx8"Wx8"H. When I reviewed the item, the top coaster was cracked into two, the one below it had a big chuck missing from it. This damage was likely due to the oversized packaging used for it. Caused it to rattle around and get broken. After all it is stone. I gifted it anyway with the anticipation of getting a replacement. Unfortunately, they said I could not receive a replacement. Just a percentage off if I kept it or I could return the entire thing for a full refund. I decided to go with the percentage off because the other two were still good. But, went ahead and ordered another 4 set. I was happy to see that it arrived quickly. And even happier when it came in a smaller box. This time only one had a small chip in one of the coasters. But, like I said, it's stone. It's bound to happen even with everyday use. Overall, I'm happy with the service and the product. And, as previously stated, I've bought from them a second time around and I would be okay with continuing further business with them if needed.

I have used these coasters for years and find they are the best for absorbing moisture. You do not have water on the table or dripping off the bottom of your glass like other coasters. They also have some great designs as well.I did not recieve part of my order. The company Thirsty Coasters was great to work with and made sure everything was taken care of. I will order from them again. These coasters make great gifts as well.

These are beautiful coasters. However the cork backing fell off of each one as soon as they were used! Easily glued back on but at the cost of these coasters this was unacceptable. This is why I only gave this product 3 stars.
